Resources & Financial Assistance

Providing General Assistance is a state mandate and the township is here to help. General Assistance is a monthly assistance program that assists township residents with little or no income and assets.

Providing Emergency Assistance is an elective program. Emergency Assistance provides assistance for a life-threatening situation (utility disconnection or tentative disconnection, 5-day notice for rent). There are requirements that have to be met. Applications are available at the Township Office by the front door.

They are also available to download under the Township Reports page. Please fill out all the paperwork and get together all the required documentation. Then call Township Supervisor, Nancy Lech to schedule an interview at 815.648.2994.

We also have a Community Room that is available to Groups and Scouts for meeting use. Please call Supervisor Nancy Lech for additional information. Detailed below are numerous resources available that assist with rent and utilities.
